Re-introduction
HI, name's Justin you can hit me up at www.myspace.com/justin_cac
I've got some pictures uploaded.
Anyway I've been looking through this forum for a while now because I have a project plan for my miata but I'm planning WAAAAY ahead, won't even have the money for it for a year or 2. But basically here's my plan:
Remove engine have it built by Flyin Miata
Turbocharge for 300 hp, stronger clutch, higher flowing injectors and fuel pump if needed and an rx7 tranny w/longer gears
sway bars, strut bars, coilovers lower an inch, roll bar
little cosmetic kandy tangerine paint and a black soft top
But I literally have no experience with turbocharging an n/a car. The main things that get me are how you would do the water lines and oil lines, and how to do the engine management. Looking forward to more info thanks guys and what's up.

whoa! slow down there killer!
you've put $25,000 into the car, and you have no idea what you're doing, or how you got there!
Why don't we take it one step at a time? You can't eat the whole cake in a single bite!
Unless you're planning on a stroker block, why not aim for 200-225 hp first? 225 HP is cheap - you're going to double/triple the price tag to get to the 300HP mark - EASILY.
If you're looking to get a kit turbo, it's a great first step if you know nothing about turbocharging. I'm still happy with the FM setup I've got.

If you are still working at McD's I doubt a fully built motor is in your crystal ball....
Save up some dough, buy used **** off these guys ('cept for ZNut he will **** your **** up) learn a thing or twenty and you will be boosted in no time for a tenth of what you currently have budgeted.

you'll bend rods at 250 and crack pistons at 300 if your tune is not spot on. You'll bend rods at 215-225 and destroy pistons at 250 if your tune is way out.
read the stickies yet?

Probably should have read the stickies, I know a lot about turbocharging Civics and what they can handle but not Miatas. And to the guy that posted "sounds like me when I was in 8th grade" well I've done plenty of work on cars just haven't turbocharged one yet and this is really going to be done I just like to plan things waaay ahead. And to the guy that said something about muscle poses on myspace, LMAO I was posting results from my workouts I used to be really fat I've gone down from 205 to 160 pounds and lost over 6 inches off my waist in just 4 months so I was proud to post those pics up. Other forums have avatars of pics of yourself this one doesn't and it's nice to see who you're communicating with in my opinion.
And Bond, that would be Abilene, Tx.

Alright since nobody wants to tell me stock capabilities I'll just have the engine built by FM and safely shoot for 300-350hp. I like my brother's S2000's 240hp but I want more.
All the questions you asked have been covered at length many times you just need to search for you answers. You need to do your own leg work.
You don't go to the library and ask them to read the books for you, do you? I didn't think so. This place works the same way. It's a wellspring of information, here for the taking. All you have to do is take it!
Now, run along, little one. Run and find the search box!
