Reformed lurker with a new project from Williamsburg, VA
Hi! I've been lurking around for quite some time gathering knowledge- thanks for that!
I am about to start my KMiata swap into my 99. This is a project that I hope will fix one glaring issue with the Miata (power) while keeping the essence of the Miata intact.
About me: I am a Dad who used to be into quite a bit of motorsport in several different cars. I started out drag racing, until i was invited to my first autocross. Turns out i much preferred turning. That evolved into HPDE events; changing the goals for the car, leading to different cars, and so on. Parenthood hit, and priorities changed- but the passion for cars remained.
Fast forward to now. I picked up this NB Miata that has a great chassis, fading paint, and not so much power. I have a 13 year old son who shows interest in cars, and the means and desire to swap this thing over (guess we will find out if the passion passed on!) The project starts soon, and i hope to have the discipline to document it fully.
So, my n00b question for you all, what photo hosting is preferred for those who have documented their builds? Looking for something user friendly and cost effective (or free).
Thanks!
Dan

Perfect time to get your son's hands greasy, my son is now 20 and when he was 16 I gave him a 2 99 Blazers one with good engine and one with excellent body, and said I would help but he was doing the work. He dove in and is now a fairly component backyard mechanic, he will be helping me on my turbo Miata build. I am in VA also Fredericksburg to be specific. Let's do a VA meet and greet sometime. The other I saw another white Miata, and got him to pull over in 7 11 we talked about our Miatas.

One day when my car is running, and I have funds to tow it up I want to do a VA dyno day. Most likely in NoVA as that is where I know people with dyno's.
VA is a weird state as it can be very spread out, so getting a central location to meet can be a pain.
Longshot Billards and Darts at 1125 S Military Hwy, Chesapeake, VA 23320 is miata friendly. The owner Mike is on here and has several miata's at any given point in time.
