Default Swedish N/A NA

Forgot to write in this section before starting in another. Sorry about that.

Got my Miata 3 years ago. Yes, it's actually a Miata and not an MX5 since it was first sold in California back in -93. Anyway, when I got it it was in pretty good shape. The main impression was that it had no rust at all, and that's very rare around here. That way it's less of a pain to work with. With the previous owner that had had it since 2001 the car had been used for both trackdays and long trips to the continent aswell as just driving along twisty roads. And it had been well taken care of. Good for me.

With me, the car has been used for trackdays, autocross and sunny days, and for those sunny days I usually have a booster seat on the passenger side for my kids. And I've given it a few upgrades.

The car as it sits right now:
NA -92
BP4W with ACT flywheel, Racing Beat header, 100 cell cat, RX7 AFM (yes, because I still use the NA6 ECU) and home built reroute
Gaz Gold coilovers
H&R/Racing Beat/etc. sway bars
Rollbar
Renault Clio Cup (Speedline) wheels with Falken something tires for the street
Enkei wheels with Toyo R888 tires for the track
Brake ducts with cooling and Hawk DTC-60 pads
Sparco Rev copy bucket seat, Sparco 4 point harness and RRS steering wheel

Looks something like this.

I don't really have a plan for the car. Right now I want to get it running as it should well in time for the start of the season (which would be around beginning of April). I just swapped the old 1.6 for the BP4W and it's started, but there are a few more things to go through before I call it ready. After that, it would be fun to try out a MS and start using E85 since that can be found in any gas station in Sweden (by law). And there are offcourse tons of more stuff to think about, but I like sorting it out bit by bit.

Long time no see!

Some stuff has happened since I last posted here. I'll just kick it off with recent pictures taken a few weeks ago at Kinnekulle Ring, Sweden.

Welcome to the dark side of Miata knowledge, where you usually get an onslaught of 2-3 levels of analysis while you sleep :-)

Do you have a flex pipe on the other side of the V-band on you RB header?
My RB have cracked as well after 15 years, mostly around the "diamond-enforced" joint, and after bending the whole car it finally cracked wide there.
V-band for ground clearance and flex pipe is my plan when it will go back together (I just have to choose one for pre-cat use).

Thank you, Niklas!

I don't. I does sound like a pretty good idea since it cracked. I going to keep that in mind. I'm going to stick with the setup I have right now since it's been working for a long time but if it cracks again, that's good input.
