Hi
I'm Mike Bond (hence the username). I'm 17 and from Southlake, Texas. My dad gave me the 1990 stock miata when I turned 16. Since then I have added 15" Kazera KZ-M wheels, new clutch (had 118,xxx when replaced), KYB shocks, koni lowering springs, Ansa slip on exhaust ( used to have a glass pack in place of muffler but it was too loud and ricy), and a hardtop. I have also put in place a 1.8 open diff I aquired from Hustler (and yes, he is a badass, and not a robot, needs more booztz though).
I have been road racing pretty much my whole life. Started Karting at the age of 8 and still going (5hp briggs, 100cc yamaha, 80cc shifter, currently 125cc shifter). I have also had the privelage to drive my dads vintage race cars (1964 Mini Coopers S...2 of those, and a 1975 Formula Ford Le Grand). I have driven just about all the tracks in the texas area as well ( TWS, MSR Cresson, ECR, Hallett, NTK kart track, Oakhill kart track)
The plans for my miata are either Turbo or a make it into a Spec miata. But with almost no money( working at Papa Johns pizza 6.55 HR, having a GF, and paying tickets) it's hard to afford either.
But to the point...
I have been researching turbocharging for almost a year now( this site has a shitload of smart people) and I think one day, I will have positive manifold pressure. T
This site is great, I visit it everyday.
and now for the pics ( sorry no GF pics, Only I get to see the goods

My advice: race now!
IF you really think that's what you want to do. At your age, now IS the time. I think you'll get way more out of racing than driving a boosted Miata on the street. I do.

M2cupcar: Thats what I was thinking. I also play hockey, so it is hard to time find for everything as it is. I'm just researching now so when the day comes when I can actually afford boost, I'll know what the hell I'm doing.
forgot to put up pic of the FF

The rest of you can **** off about my mom....I get enough **** as it is from my friends now

This is NWS and I am posting from work. (boss is in the Bahamas FTW!)
My Miata? 80 miles away so I can't get to it easily. Motor burns lots of oil and my other one is still not done. So i am having withdraws.

The new Coopers suck, front wheel drive pieces of ****. The old ones rock. Would love to have one. You are so lucky to be able to race. Check out the band "Back Door Slam".....I think it's a good "racing" band.

read my mind...haha
