hey guys thought i would introduce myself over here and de-noob myself. ive been a member for a while i guess just researching and reading alot.

i am not a noob when it comes to cars, ive done multiple sr20 swaps into friends 240’s and other swaps. hope to gain alot of knowledge on the miata from you guys since im new to them.

just purchased my first miata,been trying to find one forever. its a 1990 red hardtop.

these cars are awesome. i love the characteristics of it and how it handles in corners.

looking to turbo it soon so will be doing alot of research on what you guys have done and what works best.

Looks good with the hardtop and rims!

 

Start with the fuel system. The AEM EMS are available now for around a grand. 500cc or bigger injectors and a decent fuel pump. Get that all running N/A, before you start the turbo stuff.

 

Or you could go with a megasquirt for ~250 dollars, a stock fuel pump, and skip the ginormous fuel injectors. I'm running a fairly low duty cycle on 450s @8psi. Just my

Be fore you take anyones advice on what you need make sure you have a goal and stick to it, or you will never get done and you will buy everything 3 times before you get it going.

 

thanks the thumbs up guys. ya i got a sick deal on this car. i traded my civic which had no title and $1000 for this. ill post pics of the civic so you guys will see how good of a deal i got.

ya there are a few things that need to be worked out on this car first like bogging on take off and stuff but ill take a look into that stuff here soon.

as far as goals havent really thought about it. im not a guy who is looking for the next 500whp miata. a simple turbo kit, with good engine management and tune since those last two are the most important and 200-220 hp will satisfy my.

This is going to be a dd/drift car so im gonna take care of it
