What's up everyone

Hey there I'm new to the forum so I just wanted to say hi.
I currently drive a 2009 jeep wrangler sahara and an '04 nissan 350z but I'm selling it because I really want to get a miata. I still haven't decided on whether I want an na or nb. Also considering a mazdaspeed nb. All I know at this point is that I want to be FI. Either way, I just wanted to say hi and that I'm looking forward to learning from the forum as I'm new to miatas. Here's the z just to show what I'm moving on from. It's a touring model with 66k on it Not much work done to it. Just CAI, wheels, tires, coilovers and some suspension geometry parts. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1438799013 |
Damn! Are those Michelin tires?

Clean Z. A miata will feel like a 1/5th scale model of it that's more fun in every way but accelaration. A turbo miata will solve that last part.

If I were you... I would try to find a sweet deal on a low mile NB2 with a 6 speed. Suspension/rims/tires and attempt to learn how to tune with a megasquirt while not FI. Check out the build section for some great examples & make a complete A-Z list for turbo pieces.
Become poor. |
Fuck an NB2. NB1 > *

Tell me more about the "extra torque" your annoying-as-fuck VVT mechanism adds on your huge 1.8 litre motor at 2000rpms. :fawk::giggle::bowrofl::rofl:

I just like simplicity and lightness. The NB1 is a good way to get the good parts of an NB without tacking on a fuckload of weight.
And i've had a bad experience with VVT. |
yeah, we both have
I really like nb2 bumper and lights, and interior tho. |
Interior is like... the same. But with a better center console. Also: I haz NB2 interior in my NB1, so nyah nyah nyahhhhh
That light output, though. |
cluster, seats, console, door cards, c'mon now

I'm thinking Wanli or Sumitomo, but OP will need to confirm.
I like nb1's and nb2's so I'm pretty much open to whatever I find a deal on. I found an amazing deal on a na last weekend but it sold within 24 hours of it being up. Would've been a perfect platform or flip car. Learning to tune with megasquirt is a good idea. I've been looking into that and then going fi. What are your thoughts on MSM's? I mean factory turbo just makes it easier to work with when I decide to throw something bigger in there am I wrong? |

2) Still junk 3) yes 4) yes I suppose i should say that i really just have an NB2 carpet and dash in my car. The rest of those things listed went in the trash. :giggle: |
They're great, but the turbo is tiny and lots of stuff needs to be replaced to make them nice. Basically most of the stuff on them is an afterthought, so to make one nice you'll spend about as much money into parts as you would to boost a n/a miata.
But they're still cool, and I loved my MSM |
And they look thooper.
If you can be happy with ~220whp, they're an easy button, if not the cheapest button. For 250whp or more... just start with a normal Miata unless you have a burning desire to be able to tell people you own an MSM. On the stock ECU, they're a great way to get run down in the straights by my stock motor n/a NB1. |
stock ecu
LOL I ACTUALLY ordered an MS3Pro for my MSM after the very first drive. Literally 5 miles of driving on stock ecu, and I ordered the megasquirt :giggle: |

I had to explain to the dude why this was happening. I don't even have a standalone on my car yet, but at least it doesn't feel like a bag of shit. I test drove two stock MSMs shortly after they came out. I had to ask the salesman both times "Uhhh.... is this broken?" |
Buy my NA
