Default A work in progess

Long time reader, first time posting.
I bought a 92 bone stock. Put in a set of coilovers, hard dog cage, and slipped on a helmet and used the car for auto x. Been Auto x-ing for about 4 months now. Decided it's best to be a good driver in a slow car than be a bad driver in a fast car. Handling is great but speed isn't cutting it now since I'm out of the beginner's zone.
Starting on my project.
Goal: 200whp+
I was fortunate to find a turbo kit on ebay for $400. It includes TD04 turbo 16g, Tial 50mm BOV , Vortech FPR, complete Godspeed intercooler with piping, oil feed, all in great condition.
Also bought 430cc injectors, and flyin miata cat back exhaust.
Looking to buy MSPNP but trying to learn more about it before i hit the buy button. Also going to upgrade clutch and brakes.
Would you guys recommend upgrading the fuel pump?
Am i missing anything else?
Also, any of you guys ever get caught with a Standalone ems? What are the consequences?
Last question, any of you guys running on a MSPNP never professionally tuned? How's it going?

My name is John
I'm from California majoring in Mechanical engineering, minoring in Automotive engineering. Just my first year so still got a lot of learning to do.
Great to finally be on the forum and pleasure to meet you all.
And yes, when it comes to turbos, I am a

Welcome aboard John. Sounds like you found yourself a pretty good deal with that turbo kit.

A few suggestions:

1) Many guys run their MSPNPs with no professional tune. Check a thread about timing and fuel started by Samnavy.
2) Since you already mentioned you're in Cali; why not put that info below your Avatar? It will make it easier for you to contact members close to you.
