[MS3X] VVT Miata angle changing with Duty Cycle at Zero

4 Attachment(s)
Hello,

The engine is not delivering power as it should.
Redone timing belt, checked spool valve, checked VVT actuator.
Visual inspection looked ok. No change on the engine behaviour.

In TunerstudioMS with VVT in Test Output using Test Duty Cycle = 0 the cam is reading a minimum angle of sometimes 264, sometimes other values.
When the throttle is depressed the VVT angle starts to move down to 250, this is where there is a Lost Sync Reason 32.
(i'm reading min and max angles of 264 and 307 other users are reading min and max angles of 277 and 323 in thread https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...-tuning-64590/)

There is a picture of Tunerstudio and MSL file in attach.

Any ideias?

Are all the mechanical stuff ok (I remember my builder scratched his head when moving the Cam Sensor vings from the OEM Cam to the new one, no guide pin or similar)?
A sensor reading stuff that is in a different place that they should will create problems.

How does it behave with another ECU?
Disconnected OCV (which would be the same as 0 duty cycle I assume)?

Hi,
OCV off same behaviour. Only MS3X for this engine.
Regarding mechanical stuff, I've got some doubts about the rear of the VVT actuator (head side of intake cam gear), and have requested pics in the following thread:
