Last weekend I downloaded the latest version of MSnSE (029y3) onto my MS and ran with it for three days. I did everything as per the manual (like I have done with every software upgrade since 024s9), and opened my usual .msq and then saved it in 029y3 before burning it to the MS. As I said, I've done software upgrades literally dozens of times.

I couldn't believe the difference that the 'new' software made to my car.

Starting the car was a complete bitch (I'm talking 10+ attempts to start it on Tuesday morning),
The car developed a strange mis-fire while accelerating,
The idle seemed to be upset by an occasional miss,
And the thing drank fuel like it was free...

Last night I reloaded 029v, then my 'old' 029v .msq and the car started first time and ran like a dream again.

So the moral of my story is that since 029v is working pretty close to perfectly, I'm going to stay with it and not bother with any of the 'new' software versions unless they can get it to make me a coffee.....

And in my opinion 029y3 sucks!!
