Default 1.6 PNP hydrolock

Car has stuck injector (s) open and hydrolocked cyc twice in last year. Other than those times its ran great! Its a 1.6 car with a 1.6 PNP box and a swapped 1.8 in it.

The 1st time it did was on a new motor build with new the injectors.

After that replaced MS box, injector harness, sent injectors out to be serviced and replaced the motor with low mileage used one... (yea it was a new motor and hydrolocking it beat a dent into a bearing and it ate itself in 45 of run time on dyno).

2nd time it was on a low mileage junk yard motor that had a few race weekends on it since install and was being tuned on dyno and was running good and turned off than few minuted later went to start it and it was hydrolocked.

What common issue here?
Dont know what exact injector was open or how many because it filled the intake up to the point of leaking fuel out EGR.

What could be the common issue? Whats

you say it killed a bearing? which one? that will tell you what cylinder has the issue. Will be the same on the new motor if the injectors werent switched around.

how are your AFRs before this happens? Do you have batch or sequential injection? Is it a DIYPNP, MSPNPV1 or V2? What injectors?

Was two different cyc that the bearings died on.
AFR is fine, made good power and all.
That is a question I don't know. Batch or sequential. Its a DIYPNP.

So I'm guessing its not batch injection but "twin batch" injection? Is it firing the two injectors separately? Way its wires it only could be batch or "batch twin". I'm thinking that somewhere on this yellow or yellow/black wire its grounding once and a while and locking injectors on.
Thoughts?

1.6 stock is batch injection and the normal diypnp is only for batch. you would have to have the sequential mod or board to be otherwise. is the wiring to the engine all stock? you would have to run 2 new wires out to the injectors to be able to use sequential.

Yes all stock wiring.

If its stock batch fired, why two different wires to ecu?

Because batch fuel injection on a four banger means two injector channels, that's why you only have two injector wires. A "batch" of injectors handles multiple cylinders...

In its current configuration it's a 1.8 running C85.

Really had nothing to do with this issue tho. It runs NASA events in PTE class. Car won fastest miata at Ultimate track car challenge in 2014.
