I just installed MSPNP2 in my 1991 miata as well as a X-series wideband and IAT sensor, on the base map from diyautotune the car cranks but does not start even with throttle added. here is a log of me cranking and applying some throttle.

so i got the car to start a few times, does not idle and very hard catching to start

 

Great. Now set base timing, confirm all your sensors are working/providing sensible values, and tune it.
