Default Activating CL based on external inputs

Hi all,
I was able to tune get CL idle tuned pretty good while the car was in neutral and parked. I am able to turn lights, heater fan, AC, or anything on and my CL idle will respond pretty good without any hunting or oscillations. However when I took the car for a test drive I had all sorts of issues. The car would stall or rev hang when coming to a stop. It seems like most of the issues were caused by CL not activating or deactivating when it should. I did some researched and came across this article. It briefly explains how the OEMs control CL idle activation. Basically the OEMs activate CL idle when the car is in neutral or the clutch is depressed. So here is my question, is it possible to activate CL idle based on an input? I have a feeling this is probably not possible without custom firmware. I know my CL activation settings are probably incorrect but I just want the question above answered. FYI I'm using MS3.

Thanks

One of the main reasons to get speed into the ECM is to use it for CL idle activation. That's the easiest way. With that said you should be able to easily tune this issue out without that feature active.

I think this is still relevant with 1.4.0 or 1.4.1 FW on MS3.
