AEM Wideband won't talk to ECU
Hello Everyone,
I have a AEM x series 30-0300 EUGO Wideband and a MSLabs Basic Ms2 Ecu installed in my 1992 Mazda Miata that won't comunicate with each other.
I have everything Connected as it should be.
I have the Gauge itself wired to Switched Power and Ground under the Dash, the White Positive signal wire is connected to where the Old Narrowband was, this wire has resistance when messuring from Connector to ECU pin, so thats all good.
The Brown Negative Signal wire(Signal Ground) is bolted to the Signal Ground where the ECU is Grounded (The one at the Lift hook bolted to the Head)
When Messuring Voltage at both White and Brown wires (which should put out 1-5V) I get 1.5 Volts with the Ignition turned on and the Gauge Reading so no problem there.
In Tuner Studio itself I swiched EGR Control to Wideband, enabled Calibation and put in the Values my Wideband calls for in the AFR Table Calibration.
In Theorie the AFR Gauge in Tuner Studio should read the same as my physical Gauge but all it does is wiggle the needle a bit, despite my AFRs being around 13 ish.
I've read that connecting the Gauge itself to the Same Signal ground could help, but that would involve me pulling the Dash again since its hard wired into the Dash.
I also ordered a DB37 Connector for Electronic boost control and could hook up the AFR this way, but like I said it would involve pulling the Dash.
Has anyone else had issues with their AFR Gauge and ECU not communicating ?
Do I maybe have to Switch Back to "Narrowband" in EGR Control so the ECU can detect a Signal from the Stock O2 Pin ?
