Hey all, new here, new to MS. Got a 92 1.6/MSpnp2/InnovAFR. So, I have read a ton, and I am about half way or better to my #turbogoals. To be clear, I found a 100% stock 92 miata in June this summer, 175000, that is really clean and bone stock, but well used. Did the usual chassis upgrades, coilovers, bushes, brakes, tires/whls, etc., first. Bought with the intention of turbo fun, and the experience of doing it all. Got MS in 3 days ago, and was expecting a fight after reading so many people having issues. First start, it fired off, ran at high idle of about 1600 and settled down to about 600. I was excited to "tune", and after lots of little changes, botched the whole thing up. So, fresh base map, some more research and generally learning what does what and why, or should a say trying to comprehend, and with little manipulation, the car starts great, cold/hot, runs really well .. better than stock, and to be honest I haven't changed much at all in the grand scheme of things. Has a terrible off idle hiccup - light accel no issue, quick pop of the pedal or quick accel, and if hiccups bad, AFR showing major lean for split second. I have read about this, have some ideas on how to tune that out. HOWEVER, the more I learn, the more I wonder if what I have done to this point is backwards. manipulating things I dont really understand to get the desired result. Anyhow, part of the game. Barely touched fuel/ignition. I have included the latest map if anyone wants to take a peek. Goal is to learn how to tune this thing and understand exactly what I am doing, than get turbo parts on that are currently sitting on the bench. Thought this part of the project would suck, but I find myself daydreaming at work about what I am going to change, or what should I change, or how will this affect ..... its already addicting.
