Default baro correction and MLV VE analyizer

I have a question and I couldn't find the answer at the msefi boards:

Does baro correction impact the MLV VE analyzer? I live in the mountains and I'm constantly running between sea level and 2000 ft so my barocor is always making corrections. Does VE analyzer account for this or are the baro corrections invisible to the VE analyzer?

Also-

This morning the barometer was 92 at startup and increased to 98 as I descended from 1900ft to sea level.

Barocor ranged from 102 to 99%. It seems like these percentages should vary more like 6%, not 3%. I don’t understand how barocor works…

I just edited the baro values in excel and ran both the before and after logs through MLV VE Analyzer. Both VE tables created were identical. So I would say that MLV VE Analyzer does not take into account BARO when tuning the fuel map but MT should be taking it into account on the fly.

Baro and EGO corrections don't mean nuthin with MLV's analyzer.

not to thread jack but...there seems to be no concensus about ego correction and MLV or I'm just not getting it. If it ignores it, why is it suggested to leave it on while logging?

I'm right along with you in the trenches of the learning stages but I can safely say that it doesn't ignore it. From what I've read, it's quite the opposite of "ignore".

Again, here's what they say:

Gego is factored into the VE Analysis formula. Say the current table VE value for a single calculation is 50 and Gego is 110, 55 will be used as the actual VE value. If Analysis determines that it was lean for that record, the 55 value will be increased accordingly and added as a weighted recommendation.

So in this case, even though Gego intervened by adding in 10%, that intervention is accounted for, and weighted, by the supremely smart software. If Gego does nothing (in high MAP for instance), then the analysis and weighting carry on as usual.

I may be off here and ordinarily I'd be inclined to shut up because I'm a noob but I saw your question wasn't getting answered and it started looking lonely.

my questions often seem to get lonely (guess they're dumb?) so thanks for the response. The way you described it does make sense to me for once.

Baro is ignored. EGO is not.
