is there anyone or anywhere i can find a board made for the miata already. so i just have to wire up the sensors instead of moddifying the board?

I'm electrically challenged and I managed to get my MS up and running.

Give it a go, you may surprise yourself.

its know where to start. i would have no idea. if i can get my hands on a miata ready unit i have a guy that owes me and he'll do the rest for me. but as for modifying the board i dont think he will want to do that.

I'd build you one if the shipping wasn't so crazy to/from Australia. Just buy a pre-built one and make the few MX-5 specific mods yourself. I buy my MegaSquirt stuff from DIYAutoTune.com.

Yeah, I knew nothing about electronics, still barely know anything, but I did it. Took a while, but eventually I did it.

I am making kits that are as plug and play as the miata will take. I'm just waiting for my car to come back from being caged so I can do a final test. What year is you miata? I'll be intergrating it into the OEM computer so A/C and idle control works still. Also if something goes wrong you can go back to stock with a flip of a few switches.

kingofl337, can you post what your plan is?
which board you are starting with, the changes you will make, how you will integrate it into the oem computer, etc...

I am about to switch from HP fuel pump, AFPR , and a Bipes to the MS-I v3 (fuel and spark) on my 93 1.6l with a T25. I have been reading all the posts (lots of jumping around..) I can find and it would be very helpful to have a plan to refer to before I buy everything.

Thanks.

oh two 89-92's thats good. I'll let you know as soon as I'm ready to go. What is the CODE on your ECU's?

which board you are starting with?
V3.0 MS1 CPU

The changes you will make normal spark mods? I will also bring out the inputs
to for EGT, Knock, and a O2 jumper so you can use OEM and Wideband.

How you will integrate it into the oem computer? I will tie them into the oem computer and put everything
on switches so the OEM computer will be able to take control incase of any problem with the MS that could
occur.

To go back stock you would need to reattach the AFM and Stock injectors. Its more for peace of mind
then anything.

I send a PM but a ready made kit will help more miatas get into the MS cause that is what scared me the most about want to do a MS over E-manage

http://www.sparkandfuel.com/

This guy is willing to build a plug and play harness for Miata's. All he needs is an ECU connector.
