so i was able to connect to the MS after i used the correct baud rate. however, when it does connect i get an error message about "firmware signature mismatch".
i tried to follow the tunerstudio instructions on the turbomiata wiki, but when i hit the detect firmware button in the new project box, TS crashes everytime.... then i decided to just download the firmware, i assume it's one of these: http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/files/alpha/ but which one? halp? |
Nobody can answer that for you, except maybe the guy who built the ECU, and that's only if he remembers. You're the guy looking at the screen, so this is going to fall on you. You have two options:

ask the MegaSquirt what firmware has been loaded and then download the same definition from the internet and point your TunerStudio project to it is that right? i didnt see any on that list that looked right. if memory serves it was 2.1.1a Download a firmware definition of your choice, flash it to your MegaSquirt, and then point your TunerStudio project to it The application requires MS2/Extra firmware. I generally recommend 2.1.0 for MS2 noobs, unless you have a DIYPNP (go with the newest 3.0.3 for DIYPNP). i apologize for being such a total worthless :noob: |
I had the same problem with mine till i updated the firmware to 3.03
you can get the batch file and stuff here to update it http://msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/files/alpha/ |
