Default CEL / Misfire

I keep getting CEL blinking which supposedly means misfire? Usually it goes away if engine is warm and I restart. So I believe it's related to start up. Car is stock 2000 1.6, only mods are MS3 mini and wideband. Is it MS that controls the CEL? and if it really is an misfire, can I diagnose it in tunerstudio? Should I be able to read some code when light is blinking?

With stock ECU I don't get the CEL light.

Read the MS manual. The flashing is a code that can be found in the manual for what it means.

CEL is now completely different with the MS than it was with stock ECU.

all the checks have been OFF. I will try also setting the Sensor checking off to see if it then goes away. Light output is "Nitrous 1" that sounds weird, ECU is MS3 Mini from Reverant and I haven't touched these settings.

Even with sensor checking off I do get the blinking CEL. TunerStudio gauge view doesn't show any faults.

Rev uses Nitrous 1 for CEL

For a test, try changing from Solid to Flash and see what code it gives.

Does seem strange when you have all checks off.

Then again, if you have all checks off, you may as well turn off CEL altogether.

Is it the CEL or the Red Key icon flashing? The latter is normal.

It's the red with the key. but it doesn't blink always. Would be really nice to get rid of it.

I always thought that the symbol in car was wrench, not the key That's why I assumed that it was CEL. Maybe I should admit that It is time to get glasses... So it's the immobilizer light and now that Iäm on right path I could find threads that aligns with my situation:

Thanks for your help!

Easiest way to solve that one is to pull the immobilizer bulb. Will blink forever with a non-oem ECU installed

No worries! I've gone through the exact same worries when I changed to MS.
