Default Closed loop idle engages when cruising on the highway

So I've recently been trying to move over to closed loop idle and so far everything has been working out well but I just can't manage to figure out why the closed loop idle engages when I'm at 3000 rpm on the highway.

(Also this is my first post)

What Megasquirt, what firmware version? Post pic of your idle settings. Post your MSQ. Post a log of it happening. All of the above will give you good answers. Otherwise we are just shooting in the dark.

@OP, are you running an NA6 without a throttle position sensor?

Good questions, to add to that, closed loop idle has a TPS % value, where it's only active below that %. I'd recommend setting this to .08%, or no more than 1% or so, so that it does not accidentally engage while driving.

Of course if you don't have a VTPS this could be an issue.

Thanks all for the help, after some snooping of some logs my vtps was above the threshold of the closed loop idle switch then after turning it down and driving the issue is gone!!
