Cold Start Crank, with video!
2 Attachment(s)
Here's my video of my car sitting in the garage, cold. I datalogged the crank / startup. When it cranks, it cranks for a bit, then it sounds like it wants to catch. I just keep on the key and a second or 2 later it'll start right up. Please give me some opinions, I'm not sure if it's getting too much fuel, or not enough.

so what you are saying is you need to tweak your tune?
|
I'm just saying, it starts up decent. I just feel it can be cleaned up. Notice how it cranks and kicks like it wants to start, but then it takes another second to actually fire up? I want to work that out.

so work it out?
adjust the values up in the map at that particular CLT value. stop once it starts better. congrats, you've just worked it out. |
Why isn't your AFR reading in tunerstudio?
I noticed a big difference in starting when I adjusted the cranking dwell for my Cops. Down to 5ms, I think. You may want to check the cranking dwell settings for your coils. Cranking rpm might also play a role. |
Your starter or battery seem weak.
