DIYPNP 1.5, only 1 RPM reading, dont start

Hi Guys,

i installed today a DIYPNP on a Friends car and i wont start with that.
We installed also my DIY on his car, and it fired up right away.

Have anyone a idea, what can be wrong with the other ?

Please help us.

Thank you

its not syncing. probably built incorrectly.

xitsam 06-11-2011 02:54 PM

We double checkt all parts and didnt find any diffrent to the other DIYPNP.

Damn.. i think that thing is broken..
Brain, what will you take to make us a new one and ship it to Austria / Europe ?

Braineack 06-11-2011 03:08 PM

what does the composite log of cranking look like?

xitsam 06-11-2011 03:21 PM

RPM shows there only 1, nothing other special is showing

Braineack 06-11-2011 03:23 PM

composite log will log the CAS inputs... it will let you know if that signal is being brought in correctly.

xitsam 06-11-2011 03:26 PM

hm, i showed there but i didnt see anything intersting there, nothing was showing on the right side, now we have the diypnp no longer installed, so i cant check it again.

We also have checked the Spark output, but no sparks coming.

Braineack 06-11-2011 03:32 PM

it wont spark unless it gets a good CAS signal. and why i want you to look at the composite log during cranking.

xitsam 06-11-2011 03:35 PM

ok, i will check it again, and make a screenshot.

First, i wasnt at the car yet, but i did a third check on the Board.

All Capatitors are on right place and on right polarition.
I also reflashed the DIYPNP and i am not sure but i think first time i selectet MS2 instand of Microsquirt, can that be the problem?

Braineack 06-11-2011 07:00 PM

it can be a problem.

xitsam 06-13-2011 12:40 PM

it was the problem, thank you anyway for fast support :)

Using the wrong firmware type does weird things to the ignition. Glad you got it cleared up.
