I installed COP on my car yesterday. I am using the dwell setting form the wiki page, 3.2ms cranking and 2.5ms at 12v. The car turns on fine and it runs, very rich now btw. I am having two issues: I can't get it to idle lower than 1000 without removing lots of fuel. I also tried the idle controls and to no avail. Second, I'm getting a error that has to do something with the communication settings. MS goes crazy then I reset the port and it returns to normal Help please!

 

error 1. better spark means you don't need as much fuel (ie. more complete burn)

error 2. tune better.

error 3. coincidental.

 

Thanks, I re-entered the dwell settings and haven't gotten the error again yet.
