Your result was much better than mine. I had a PAC CSS12 filter installed on the power line (some other work was being done so I thought I would try and see if it helped the noise profile I was seeing). The jpg labeled Before is the BattV readout without the filter, the jpg labeled After is with the filter (it did not matter where it was grounded). It was much worse with the filter. The third jpg is the noise I am looking at trying to address, no luck so far. We pulled the noise filter.

One thing you can do to improve the performance of the choke (ebay "noise filter") is to add a 4700 uF / 16V capacitor across the MS.

Across means between ground and +12V?

Yes.

Which pins on the ECU did you install this across? 1A is listed as permanent power, 1B is 12V switched.

You shouldn't remove the signal ground for the LC1 away from the MS, it would be wildly inaccurate if the ground potential was different between the LC1 and MS's signal ground.

Hey stinky, Pat's been banned for a month or two now so I don't think he will be answering you anytime soon.

I miss Patrick...he was a good guy.

Seriously. Despite his seemingly condescending attitude he was a good member to have here.
