50 may have been an overstatement. And if you're using wire taps, that's your fault, not mine. I was focusing mainly on his misunderstanding of CAN networks, and you focused instead on my obvious over exaggeration, interesting.
If he hooks up the AEM X-series and a Perfect Tuning CAN gauge, it'll work. That's my main point. Ask me how I know. |
I think that's really my goal now, use a CAN display and run all my sensors to MS and then connect perfect tuning as a display. How do you switch your CAN display or do you display multiple parameters at same time. I recall there was a gauge that did that but without reading glasses I honestly would not see it. Maybe just leave the perfect tuning to display Oil Pressure and leave AEM gauge in as well.
Secondary question as wire taps were mentioned. What is a good practice for connecting multiple sensor grounds to MS 22 awg wire in the options connector. I was thinking a $10 bus bar mounted near MS and bring all sensors grounds and related shield from knock sensor to the bus bar. I try avoiding splicing and sharing 12v switched. I have got used to repurposing OEM connectors for illumination, audio, hazard, heater ,'etc and run dedicated 12v when required. |

Can you tell me why one works and the other doesn't? Sure would show you had enough knowledge to explain anything canbus to anyone else, or for any poor idiot coming across this thread in the future... Hint: It's got to do with the aemnet... |
I strive for excellence. I’m both wrong and useless. Success. I won’t ever claim to be a CAN bus expert, I’m simply stating my experience and trying to help him. Apologies for stepping in your territory.
