having trouble with tuner studio

i just recently got the car running on the megasquirt, and i'm trying to set the timing. however, when i open tuner studio and select new project i'm having trouble.

i name the project, then click detect to get the ecu definitions, and tuner studio crashes. any help?

Did you pay?

I guess more info on the megasquirt is needed. Which one? Did you build it? Tested on the bench? What firmware is loaded? What version Tuner Studio?

it's a brain built MSII, the car starts and runs on it.

i dont know what firmware is on the MS, tuner studio V1

i had an ECU definition file on my laptop, i tried to use that instead of detecting the def's from the ecu, it loaded but i got an error message about a firmware mismatch.

Hmmm. I am installing a Brain built DIYPNP. Mine came with 3.0.3u firmware. This is a link to it:

Are you sure the laptop is connecting to the megasquirt properly? Baud rate 11520?
