Help adding oil temp,Oil Press sensor/gauge On rev Built MS3 basic

4 Attachment(s)
Recently got shadows dash working and I want to add Oil temp and oil Press gauge.setup:turbo bp4w rev build ms3 basic whit patch harness.

sensor i will use:
GM Closed Element CLT / IAT Sensor with Connector DIYAutoTune.com
Pressure Transducer or Sender 100 PSI Stainless Steel for Oil Fuel Air Water | eBay

Change i made in TunerStudio
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1421698994

Change i made in the .ini file
gaugeCategory = "Generic sensor inputs"

OilpGauge = OilPress, "Oil Pressure", "PSI", 0, 75, 0, 0, 60, 70, 0, 0

OiltGauge = OilTemp, "OIL Temp.", "°F", -40, 300, -100, -100, 200, 220, 0, 0

The result

Question:
1-Which is js4/js5?:from revenant install instruction:• Pink and White (twisted together) – Oil pressure input (white; resistive), oil

temperature (pink; resistive). Connect to sensor. The other end of the sensor
2-how to set the variable and adc count for the sensor?( MS2-Extra Quick Guide to Tuning / TunerStudio)
3-Does the circuit decrib in the link is already build by revenant?
4-Am i missing something?

Thanks for reading me,Sorry for my bad english not my main languege

made this change to the .ini file get rid of the error

OilpGauge = sensor01, "Oil Pressure", "PSI", 0, 75, 0, 0, 60, 70, 0, 0

OiltGauge = sensor02, "OIL Temp.", "°F", -40, 300, -100, -100, 200, 220, 0, 0

Sorry for bumping this thread up, but i havê the exact same sensors and I can't make them work.

They are both installed on the oil cooler sandwich plate. I've connected a linear pressure sensor and a GM temp sensor both mass to ecu analog sensor mass and the other end to pink and white as per reverent instructions manual. I realized Pink and white were not soldered to the DB37 so i used pin 11 and 12. On TunerStudio, on the generic sensor tab I’ve configured imputs ports 11 and 12 as per linear and GM calibration. Although pressure sensor seems to work, i can't make the oil temperature to work, it just baunces values.

Am I missing something, should I change for spare ADC6 and ADC7 (pins 31 and 25)?

Found this on MS3 manual:

Problem is i don't know if the imput port's i'm using have the bias resistor since i'm not beeing able to get an answer from Reverant, does anyone know if they have it? And if i need to have the 5v source + resistor, where can i get the 5v from?

Just reporting back that i solved the "problem" with Reverant help. He email'd me back ad told me there are jumper's inside the ECU for every analog imput. You just have to use that jumper for the correct pullup.

Back from the dead... Can you share where those jumpers are and which ones do what??

Thanks,

Bump for answers. I wish Rev would spend 10 more minutes to document his hardware since his email responsiveness is very hit or miss these days.

I used one of the temp sensors from DIYAutotune for my oil temp. This is the pressure sensor I use for oil pressure and fuel pressure. Below is a screen shot of my settings for the 3 sensors. Not sure how different Reverant's MS are from a standard one. So you might need to change around inputs and such.

Depending on your MS Basic version. First batch (big ones) never could found the 5v source and never got feedback from Dimitri.

The smaller MS3 Basic, just open it and it will be very clear to you. Just behind the connector, you'll have all the jumpers with the port number/name written on the board.
