Help plz: ms3x, octane choices and pinging

Hello! I have a brain-built ms3x running my '94 Miata. Stock internals, jrsc45 with stock tb location and a bov in the crosspipe setup... I am running 93 octane along with an octane booster and still pinging, I've tried retarding the timing but two things are on my plate there - the detonation doesn't stop and, not to mention, I get noticeably less quickness when the timing is dropped... grr. Also, wondering how hard it would be (once I get the ping sorted out and my engine running healthy) to convert to e85 using ms3x? Thanks for any insight :) |
