help with using tuner studio
New to tuning and using tunerstudio
Got to were I can finally get studio connected to my MSpnp. How do i data log? I see dataloging tab on the task bar, and it starts and saves a log. But when i try and open it in megalog viewer i get a message "No time column found file can not be viewed" Do i have to ride for a certain amount of time or what do i actually do when i start a log |
Here is what I have done to log and view with megalog viewer.
So you have the car running and connected to your laptop/tunerstudio. Hit start logging, it will ask what you want to save the log as, you enter xxxxxyyyyy and hit save. When you're done logging hit stop log. Open megalog, hit open file, find the file and click on it. Megalog viewer takes over. Is this what you have been doing? |

Have you tried Tuner Sussudio? Much easier to use, created by Gabriel Peterson.

Can you post one of the logs?
What version of TunerStudio and MegaLogViewer are you using? |
Ok! so just letting yall know. im a newb
Finally got tunerstudio (ver 2.0.8) to work with my MS pnp (gen1) For some reason when I re-installed Megalog Viewer i can now view my datalogs and also figured out how to use the VE analyze feature on the megalog view. It is the "lite" version so the options in megalog are limited (very limited) as well as the VE analyze. it only measures like a certain number of logs or whatever so its a less accurate suggestion of VE values... managed to run ve analyze on the megalog view and change my table. loaded it as a tune into tunerstudio and now my car runs more rich when im going up through the gears. (it was running really lean according to my AFR gauge, like 16-18 all the time) as a matter of a fact now im seeing 10-15 in moderate acceleration which i guess is good right? when i get in 4th,5th and 6th im still seeing high AFR like 16-17 still not good?? im really really new to all of this stuff had the car less than 3 weeks. 94 miata, NB-6speed swapped, NB heads, intake, catback exhaust, header, cop ignition, MS pnp. Is there like pre-made tunes i can find somewere made by someone that has the similar mods? that would be sweet. |

Just purchased studio.
Ran ve analyze and my car either runs like crap or idles crazy...one tune actually just made the car shut off when i tryed to crank |
Did you download a basemap for a N/A car? It should run fine with a basemap. Did you set timing? What's your AFR table look like (all 14.7 and 12.5 above 100kpa would be fine)? Are you not just using autotune?

Also guys ive made progress. I bought tuner studio and it would fix my lean issues pretty well when i used the ve analyze.... But everytime id get a horrible idle as a result. Ive probably trouble shooted almost every possibility....one solution left me with just a really high idle (1400) and when coming into neutral or cold starting i would get a furious pulsing idle. I went into idle control and turned off pmw and then cold starting was just cold starting and then death Today i re did everything. And then tuned my idle the old fashioned way. With the damn screw on the intake manifold. Need less to say its working...for now, just got done with a 15 min drive wile using auto tune and now im getting a lower AFR% and my idle is staying within. 200 +/- of 1000 rpm.. Im so sick of messing with this shit lol |

Then can i can just feck with my idle with screw and closed loop settings? Also what map setting am i supposed to choose in properties? Im pretty sure its the one matched with MS 1.1 because i have an old gen 1 ms pnp |
