Questions about MS3X and flyback
Hi All,
I got my megasquirt upgraded from MS2 to MS3. It is still using the old MS2 inout and outputs. I want to start running the idle valve and the hi-z injectors (in sequential mode). I was wondering if I need to use a flyback protection diode for the idle valve? Do the injection drivers have flyback protection driver?
What are the MS3X users doing?
TIA.

Hi Raj,
If the idle valve is already driven by FIDLE, there's no need to move it to the Expander board. You do not need to add flyback protection to the Expander; it's already in the hardware.

Thanks guys. I am using Abe's 99-00 pnp adapter card which has all the high currebt drivers and input conditioners. I am trying to get rid of it, hence the move to the MS3X idle output.
