Dow.tom 08-11-2007 06:54 PM

greenday3437 08-11-2007 07:30 PM

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 07:34 PM

magnamx-5 08-11-2007 08:00 PM

very nice any impressions on the ease of use and end product for the NA MS? for the noobs of course

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:24 PM

i feel like the car is quicker and it is smooth in the transitions of the gears. However, i have a small jumpy idle. But all things aside, i love it. Any idea how to tune injectors that are larger than stock (supra 305's)

Atlanta93LE 08-11-2007 08:26 PM

The MSPNP manual gives a good walkthrough for simply changing injectors.

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:27 PM

alright, what about idle jump

Atlanta93LE 08-11-2007 08:27 PM

Hah, good question. ;) If I knew, I wouldn't be having the same troubles

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:29 PM

amen brother... foundsoul needs to find his way back here....

magnamx-5 08-11-2007 08:33 PM

be more specific about the jumping? You need to recheck your req fuel, if that is correct go into the tunning console and try a litle more fuel onthe map. If it only does it when cold then it is a afterstart/warmup issue try to take the values for that down a little at a time until it starts and runs smooth at hte desired RPm most of this is a fueling issue also make sure you have your tps calibrated to the MS correctly. This should be covered in your literature. I believe this is a fueling vs AIC issue.

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:37 PM

it's a bouncing idle. from 900-1000
it fluctuates constantly.

magnamx-5 08-11-2007 08:46 PM

well then i would recheck the TPS and tweak the fuel down a hair not much but just a little.

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:48 PM

Well i calibrated the TPS. So i guess i'll lower the fuel. What menu do i do that under?

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:51 PM

also, how do i get rid of PIG rich after 4k syndrome?

Ben 08-11-2007 08:55 PM

You READ THE MANUAL. Do it NOW.

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 08:55 PM

im on it now..

shuiend 08-11-2007 08:58 PM

If your idle is sitll jumping around watch what your IAT temps are. As it gets hotter out your afr leans out and the idle will start to bounce all around. I am having this problem in the ehat wave and havent figured out exactly how to fix it yet.

Do you really think you should be on a standalone engine management system?

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 09:08 PM

haha, yeah well would you rather me not ask a stupid question than fuck up? I was told the only stupid question, is one not asked.

magnamx-5 08-11-2007 09:12 PM

Red tom is learning
Tom this is one of those things wich will take a little more reaserche than normal just like when you initialy got into turbo's after you finish the manual etc, then you should be in better shape.

Nobody here is going to babysit you through the tiniest detail, It is assumed you have some basic knowledge of the workings of an engine/ems/and just the miata in general.

Do you realize you could blow your motor to bits slowly or right away with a wrong setting inputed?

This is not basic stuff, why do you think many many people wait years and years before going to a Standalone EMS.

Its not just something you can walk into off the street and expect to know.

I am not being an asshole to you, or trying to humiliate you.

Someone here has to not coddle you, someone has to tell you, you are going to fuck something up unless you do A LOT of reading.

Dow.tom 08-11-2007 09:18 PM

i understand this, and im in the process of reading the manual.
