Hi,
just for your information - in this thread at msextra.com:
http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewto...p?f=91&t=39611
At page 3 of this thread Ken posted an changed code version which seems to give considerable better performance for the closed loop idle control. (He also thinks about applying the changes to the EGO and boost control PID).
Summary of the effect seems to be - idle finds the target much faster and keeps the target very closely.
Maybe some of of you want to try out - I cant until 1st of April.

Looks very promising. I've been complaining about this problem for quite some time. At some point I remember asking Ken "how do I reduce the deadband range", to which his answer was "there is no deadband range, increase the I term or the sensitivity".
I can't wait to try out this code, been reading about it since it was first posted.
I know I should be grateful for ken at al's work with coding the MS but sometimes the responses and attitude to queries really stinks.

I'm just hoping to get rid of that annoying surge during accel that I get at times on the MS2. I'm on the MS3 for a week now and it still hasn't happened yet.
No I can't blame him either, and I am really grateful they put the effort into the code, it's just occasionally I feel they might be a bit more forthcoming that someone who hasn't coded it has a point.
I can understand their reluctance though, I imagine the amount of requests etc gets old fast.
