Jbperf and Frank MX5 Westfield MS2 Questions

4 Attachment(s)
I wanted to build an MS2 + Jbperf (for sequential fuel) exactly like Frank's Westfield site. However, he doesn't show the pinout for sequential fuel for the 1.6, only the non-sequential 1.6.

1) Will the pinout/harness change because I'm doing sequential with Jbperf? Or will the pinout/harness remain the same with or without Jbperf?

2) Because Frank's MS2 page isn't really updated anymore, were there any corrections to his build directions?

Thanks ;)

You will have to run 2 additional wires to run your injectors in sequential mode. On the 1.6 Mazda only fired injectors in batch mode. I think 1/4 and 2/3 are wired together, but you will have to double check that.

If you don't have a '93 California model, then you'll have to run two new wires and hack up your injector harness to run seq. fueling. At that point you should know that you need to wire Inj A - Cly 1, Inj B - Cly 3, Inj C - Cly 4, Inj D - Cly 2, and you shouldn't really need a wiring pinout diagram...

1&3 and 2&4 are wired together currently.

I think there used to be a pinout, but I just noticed it's not there. I'll see if I can dig it up. But, as already mentioned, it's really just 2 additional wires for the 2 extra injectors. Just 2 lines on a drawing really.

Edit: made one and added it to the instructions
