Default MS3X and OEM NB2 knock sensors?

I have a Reverent built MS3X and NB2 VVT engine with the factory knock sensor. I am just now getting around to enabling the knock sensor in the MS3 configuration, in preparation for going with a turbo setup over the winter.

I have some values that Reverent sent me a year ago to try out. Does anyone have a set of known good configuration settings for using the OEM knock sensor, at least to get me started? Also, does anyone have any advice in general for using the OEM Mazda sensor? Will the OEM sensor work adequately for a medium power turbo build? Or do they have problems with the MS3 to the point that I would be better off starting with a different sensor altogether?

Thank you

In my case (on a KL engine) I tried for days to get the stock sensor to be calibrated correctly but I just gave up and bought a bosch sensor that came with a frequency response table...From there I was able to adjust it to the engine on which it was installed. I might have done something wrong at first though but this is my experience. Still, I decided to remove the sensor later and rely on good old dyno tuning and keeping it a little bit conservative.

Thanks for the feedback. I will likely give the stock sensor a try, since it is already wired up, but will keep the Bosch sensor in mind. I won't spend too much time on the OEM sensor though.

Anyone have experience with the NB2 OEM knock sensors and a MS3X?
