Default Just used shadow logger MS for the first time!

I have an epic touch 4g and it worked great!

I now have accel data, GPS data, and easy live data while driving! ------ A!

I can't wait for the software to get a live dashboard/tuning! Has anyone else used it yet? Experiences? I only wish for better than 1 Hz GPS. Dunno if that's hardware or software limitation.

Screen capture below.

Edit - pretty sure the 1hz is hardware. Maybe I could get a bluetooth GPS adapter and use it in tandem...

It has great range, worked right out of the box. I am sure I could connect to it from inside the house if I wanted haha.

Use coupon BTFORSPRING to get another $10 off!

I ordered my bluetooth adapter a few days ago. It should be delivered to the mailman tomorrow. I hope to get it setup and working on my Galaxy Nexus tomorrow mid afternoon.

you guys are lucky who have your ECU behind the passenger seat or whatever. 99-00 it's between the brake and clutch pedals (basically). no fricken room for BT adapter. I'm gonna have to connect extension cable to ecu itself and then locate the BT adapter some place else, I think.

I see no reason why that won't work, just don't get a really long cable.

What do I do if I have MS1 in one car, and MS2 going into another?

Shadow Logger works fine on my Galaxy Nexus. I just had to pair the device to my phone before I started the app. It connected perfectly and logged fine.

I would guess just plug it into whichever one you want to log with. Then pair them up and log.

Does this take advantage of the RTC stuff that's now in MS3?

I don't think there is any benefit to it, since SLMS does have access to a clock (the Android system's clock) to give names etc to the datalog. The RTC is really meant for use with the internal SD card logging facility.

I guess I should have said "populates the RTC field(s) so it can be picked up by MLV" to be more accurate.

Don't you already have a cable running out to the serial->usb adapter? Just plug it into that and tape it under the seat or console.

Edit: Just bought mine. Thanks for the extra discount code cardriverx.

Yeah, but it's like 6 feet long. Emailed the dudes at EFI and they said keep it short.... we'll see. I think I'll go ahead and order one as well since I have that discount code, thanks for posting!

Devices like this can be software-configured for different datarates, so you'll just have to change the configuration when swapping between cars.

Or just buy two.

I've heard that there was working, or talk of working to get this to be supported on the iOS operating system. Has any heard anymore about this, or know if there is support for the iOS?

Also, where is everyone getting their BT adapter? I'm assuming you can just use the adapter with the BT on a laptop?

Look at the third post for the adapter.

Just to clarify, this is posed on the page for the dongle

"*TunerStudio version 1.17 or higher recommended for Bluetooth use."

We could use this for Tuner Studio and forget ever having to connect a cable to the laptop again?

Yes you can. I wish my laptop had built in blue tooth.

Awesome. I wish the full Tuner Studio was Android OS compatible. I see it happening eventually, but probably not within the next few years. Would be a perfect reason to buy a tablet. As it is, I'm looking into purchasing a used laptop (Thinkpad) just for this reason.
