I'm trying to delete the MAF now. I copied the src folder over to the with out MAF folder like I saw in another thread here. when I use the download firmware file, that all loads up fine (or appears to).

After that, I open megatune and try to open the msq file that I was using up to today. When I open it says there are six warnings, if I hit 'yes' to the send to unit it says "page 1 could not connect to controller" and goes through that for several pages.

Out of curiosity, I went back and reloaded the with afm stuff and opened the msq in megatune. It loaded fine. WTF?!

any ideas? I have a buddy over here helping and we can't seem to figure it out.

 

Have you got the COM port set correctly in the MSQ with the deleted MAF?

 

we played around with the com's and now it appears to be working, very rich at idle, but working...

crazy computers.

 

The car is running pretty well, but it is rich, in the 12's at idle. Since I'm still normally asp. I guess I need to dial the fuel back.

This is weird because it is the same msq that I was running before I removed the MAF. It wasn't running rich when the MAF was in earlier today...

 

has anyone else started running really rich after the MAF delete?
