Default Megasquirt tuning issues :/

Hi guys im having trouble trying to start my car, it ran until i tried to change the timing and now wont start! I tried downloading a base map but came up with conflict between spark outlet ports and spark output error :/ how do i change that first of all and if someone could make me a map to help me on my way would be much appreciated. Im running a 1.8 uk spec mx5 its running a garrett t25 turbo, intercooler, IAT sensor, rx yellows 440cc injectors and megasquirt ms2 extra ur help would be much appreciated thanks

What exactly did you do between the time it ran and when it didn't? How did you change the timing? Megasquirt or turning the actual CAS?

Hi i adjusted the timing via the megasquirt but i also adjusted the idle control screw on the side of the manifold why i done this i dont know, but it was running before this so then i started playing around with pulse widths and managed to get it to fire but wouldnt run :s plus the fuel pump sounds like its constantly on is this normal?

Do you have the tune it was running on before you started changing things? Maybe too late to mention now, but always "save as" when you make a new tune so you can go back to a prior tune if needed.

The idle screw shouldn't really affect getting the car to run. If anything turn your idle screw a turn or two counter-clockwise. That will raise the idle, then once you get it to run you can always turn it back down to where it needs to be.

did you set the spark to -10 so you arent using the spark table to set your initial timing?

If you are using tuner studio we need the .msq files from the project folder to really be able to help with much more then guesses.

*Always* back the msq up before you do any changes or tuning in the future so you have copies of working tunes to fall back on in case anything happens.
