Default MM9697 being released tonight at midnight...

This is a double post so read the details here: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=16891

Wouldn't do that but since I don't use my vendors section much I don't expect people to drop by there often, and this is the MS section .

Can't say it at M.net, but congrats Jerry. Lots of new customers coming in, I'm sure.

What are the plans for the 99-00 cars?

Congratualtions on the new offering.

I plan to pick one up for the 94 I bought this winter. I am just waiting to pick up the car and do a leak-down test first. If the numbers are good, I'm buying the PNP, if not, I get to do a rebuild with better internals.

Sounds like a win win to me

Thanks for the congrats guys-- we took some time on this one but I wanted to make sure it was right, and it is. And running HiRes 10e too!

As for 99-00, not sure on a timeframe there yet. It will happen, I don't have a car yet and I'm not shopping just yet. I'll probably wait until we finish the MegaBench, sell the 95M car at that time, and then pickup a 99-00 car to begin that project. We've got some other MSPNP projects in the works too, we'll continue looking at new Miata focused models, but we're going to branch out a bit too.

the 99-00 is probably the biggest opportunity market. There are not too many inexpensive options for those cars.

On the 99-00's, we want to do this-- with the 96-97 being the first MSPNP we've done for an ODB2 car we'll be watching those sales and seeing how they go compared to the ODB1 car units. If the market is there to support it we're more likely to jump in sooner on the 99/00. Any reason the 96-97 market would be drastically different from the 99-00? Body style?

On the MM9697 base map... it's posted up on www.megasquirtpnp.com now. It's for HR10e BTW.

The market would be bigger because the only PNP standalone for the 90-00 is the $2k hydra, the link was never a option in standalone form, and there are a ton of these running around with band aids do to the cost.

So, I'm running an MS in parallel that Chad built for me. I've always planned to use your MSPNP.

Given that your timing for releasing your MSPNP (the 14th is tomorrow and I'm already on the doghouse with my wife) is not good for me and the fact that I own not 1 but 2 EMS right now (I also have a 96/97 AEM which will go on sale soon) I wanted to know:

Does the fact that your MS is high res prevent me from using your software until I buy yours?

Thanks,

Rafa

You can run HiRes Rafa. You'll have to get Manny to install a .1nF Capacitor between JS8 and GND. I can adjust their MSQ for you if you feel the need to run that with your parallel install. Are you mostly interested in their ignition table? The other things like acceleration enrichment won't work with your injectors without some adjustment.
You have PM.
