Here is dumb question #1, Since the timing is only effected by boost when it sees boost, then your spark map that you are running on your boosted car will work fine on my currently NA car, right?

and now that ive been thinking about it for ten minutes the same should kind of be true with fuel... but im thinking that i would have to be running NA with the size of injectors that im going to run when its FI, for me to be able to use the same fuel map NA and FI,, any of this make sence, or am i way in left field?

It makes sense but realy just use about the same size injectors as him or the stockers and compensate from there on a percentage in relation to your new injector size i hope to run 460's. The timming should work fine but go through and check the map vs stock anyway to see if you are missing out on some hp.

You got it. Fuel and ign maps are load and rpm based. Load is indicated by mainfold pressure. 100 kPa is atmospheric, WOT for a NA car. When I bolted on the turbo, there was little tuning to do under 100 kPa, just a bit to account for VE changes due to the turbo and IC plumbing.

I ran the stockers to get the MS sorted, switched to RX7 460s to prepare for the turbo. I've been up to 56% duty cycle @ 5 psi, lots of room yet.

Funny this should come up today, I went ahead and started taking my second stab at installing my megasquirt. got the wiring harness mostly hooked up, but couldnt find my tuning cable doh! Still got your maps also al, and if all goes well im hoping to autocross with the megasquirt next weekend

anyway, wish me luck on that. would be great to finally ditch the oem ecu.

The Haltech was much nicer in the fact that it is so highly polished. Want to run boost control, anti-lag, flat shift, ect? Just configure it in the program, no messing around. A friend of mine is a Dyno Dynamics dealer, and the E6K is his favorite low-cost ecu to tune. The maps are bar graphs indexed by rpm, so it is really easy to tune one rpm from low to high load, and then more on to another. It also accepts nearly any ign input with no changes, which is also nice. The only real thing that the Haltech lacks is datalogging capability. It does dl, but there is no program to view the info like Megalogviewer, you just look at the raw data.

Nope, mine is in the car running idle control, ac, and emmisions stuff. If I sell the car, it should take about 3 hrs to go back to stock, which is a nice option to have.

Ordered mine tonight, using priority mail. Decided to get a small soldering station as well. Nothing special just something better than the wore out POS pencil iron I have that won't even hold a tin(ing).
Gonna be an adventure. Bum deal about your shipping ordeal, better get it tomorrow or i fear for the postal services life. Adam might just straight up lose it.
