Default MS2 power

I finally finished building the V3 board with the input/output mods for the miata (DIYautotune how to, external igniters) and when I power the board (using a 12V supply) by connecting the power and GND wires, I don't actually know if the board is working or not. Should the LEDs on the daughter board light up when you power the board? I tried loading MS2 extra code Ver. 2.0.1 and it loaded it but in the end, I have some signature mismatch!?!?!?

When I try to connect to megatune, using DIYAutotune package, it tells me that the version from controller (hxXXXXX or something like that) doesn't match the .ini file (2.0.1)

What should I do? How do I know that my MS2 board is working?
Thank you

My MS1 did that. Power the MS on and off and if you used a USB-serial adaptor unplug and plug it in. Then megatune gets the proper response. Well it worked for me anyway.

Tried that, didn't help. When you load code for the first time, what are the files you need to load in order? And how do I get rid of that signature mismatch thing, it sends and "s" and gets a "a" back.

Thanks

I would recommend downloading the software from megasquirtpnp.com/downloads and picking the project folder that applies to your setup. Run the download.bat and this will load the firmware. Your chip will probably only came with the B&G MS3 firmware so when it asks if you are upgrading from the standard firmware say yes. It will ask you to power off the MS and put the boot jumper in place then it will burn the firmware. Mine took 2 attempts and I had to unplug the USB adapter to make it work the second time. Keep trying untill you get a successful 1700+lines written message. Then power off and on and burn your MSQ.

With an MS-II, the files on our site are not the right ones to use here. 323driver, could you please upload a screen shot of the error message? This will provide a lot of information about what's wrong.
