Default MS3 and flex fuel sensor wiring

Does anyone know if the DIY MS3 Pro +12v Ignition out .5amps is sufficient for VCC on the flex fuel sensor ? Thanks

What year is your car? I was able to power the Flex sensor from a source in the engine bay. In my '99 I am running the power from an existing source near the evap purge canister and used the purge valve wiring to the ECU to bring the sensor feed to the MS3.

Thank you for this. The car is 97. Since I will be running ground and signal to the MS3 anyway, was trying to avoid finding 12v source in the engine bay when the other wiring will still need to go through a firewall. I think I can use power from the Horn Relay or find switched power at the wiper motor - which I deleted.

Doesn't a 97 have an evap purge valve? There's your 12V and signal to the ECU, just have to find a ground.

I gutted most of my harness. I think I may have one O2 sensor plug still zip tied. Will check if there is a switched 12v there. Did you run shielded wire ?

No, it's a slow enough frequency range it shouldn't really be necessary.

Deezums - you are confirming I can use 12v from MS3 pin rated at .5amp max ?

Never mind. You referenced shielded wire answer
