I can confirm that isn't the case. He and I have been working on this together - and no maps have been used besides the base mapped shipped with the unit.

We have cam/crank sync and spark, fuel pump primes, but plugs are dry.

Then how was the cam input set to anything other than JS10 and the cam polarity was wrong in the settings? All our ECUs always used JS10 as the cam input since the very first MS3 in 2011 and there's no way we could have shipped one with the wrong crank/cam settings.

I didn't try to load another map but I did do some "offline" work- and now I understand that this process can corrupt data points all over the map. Should I be looking to run the map that came with the unit now in order to amend the potentially corrupted map? This is my 3rd standalone ECU and second megasquirt, I am truly confused and at a loss. Pulled wiring back to the bare wires again last night to ensure that I didn't screw something up. While in there I moved the VVT power wire from the injector harness to the sensor harness that pretty much parallels the injector harness and is fed power through the same circuit. I did this to segregate the harness and enable me to run my injector harness to of the manifold for testing. The White w/ Red Stripe wire that feeds power to the injectors also feeds power to the Crank and Cam sensors, this is where i rerouted the vvt power source. This should not matter because it all goes back to the same pin on the ecu for sensor power-

Also changed cam sensor to brand new and rechecked the injector wiring at the ecu- all ground to the back of the head.

Update- all 4 of my injectors were clogged, swapped in mrslwly's and we got fire in the cylinders. Too much fuel and timing but it will turn over and run briefly. I also reverted back to the project file from day 1. Now we are fighting backfiring and likely base timing issues. Any tips on timing the thing if it doesn't want to run?

Additional inputs:
- Tableswitch digital input on the board. Activate by grounding.
- Launch control/flatshift on the stock clutch pedal (no need to wire anything)
- Spare analog input on the AFM/MAF. For the 90-97 1.6L and 94-95 1.8L, there is a jumper you need to install to enable it.
- Wideband input on the stock lamda signal wire
- Knock input on the 90-97 only. 99-05 already have it through the stock wiring.

Additional outputs:
- EBC on the board (also available on the purge solenoid connector on most models, not on the early ones. Generally a 1.1+ or 2.0 board will have it).
- VVT on the board
- 01-05 V1.0 and V1.1 only: INJH on the board
- RPM output on the 90-97 1.6L and 94-95 1.8L. 96+ already on the stock wiring.

CAN Bus:
- Available on the board only, CANH and CANL.
what's the I/O name on tunerstudio for the purge solenoid on an ms3 mini? 2001-2005 1.8 board

Hi rev, regarding the flex fuel input (unpinned )on the mini. How would one go about adding a pin for the flex fuel sensor? Thanks!

Hi I have a Stock 90 miata now. I had tried to put side drafts on Using the nodiz pro but no luck, put it back to stock But was throwing a few codes for the afm and also coolant temp, either way ran bad it could idle but any throttle the engine was confused and shut off. Instead of fixing that I slapped in an ms3 mini, gm iat sensor, calibrated an e36 tps hooked up the vacuum to the map on the board. I’m getting no spark on tuner studio it’s not rpm synced. Fuel pump is hardwired on with ignition. I have a 36-1 or2?? Welded to my pulley so could hook up a vr sensor but rly don’t know because I don’t know the pin out.
I just having trouble because the mini has little info out their any advice would be sick

The 90-97 1.6L /94-95 1.8L has a jumper marked CAS to select on which pin the crank signal is, as this changes on models with sequential injection. Post your a pic of the CAS jumper to confirm.

The Mini will NOT work with a VR sensor, however if you install a sensor from a 99-05 Miata (Hall sensor), it can work with a 36-1 or a 36-2.

That looks correct for a non-sequential car. Please take a composite log to see what's wrong with the CAS signal.

You don't have the "Cam" signal. The "Crank" signal is ok. Please confirm you haven't loaded a random basemap you've found somewhere.

Main objective for this thread is to collect as much information as possible on the aformentioned ECU.

This one is probably one of the sites with the most information (more of a review but a very deep one):
https://bofiracing.co.uk/blog/ms-labs-ms3-mini-review/

General informations (sorry if this looks like its advertisement, not intended):
https://bofiracing.co.uk/ms-labs-ms3...-and-play-ecu/

As of my personal experience you get a installation instructions sheet and thatīs basically it.
It would be very interesting to see an I/O Diagram to figure out which pins can be used for more stuff (if thatīs even possible).

I hope this will help and i hope everyone who has more to add will do so
THX !
Hi there, really a quick question, the car is a 1.8 NA, bought the unit from bofi, currently TS cannot communicate with the ecu, com port in win10 seems fine. Also do I need to remove st sign fues? As the car is not starting, and the st sign fues blown too. Also cannot hear fuel pump prime, with the fuse removed, the car will crank when key turn to on position.

hope anyone can help. Thx!!!

If you carry over the various tables and not the hardware input settings then probably yeah. I would probably only grab the spark table from the MS3x basemap, Revs basemaps are pretty well setup out of the box for a decent idle/startup already.

No. Use the provided basemap inside the ECU. I've tuned hundreds of these cars and I doubt any other basemap would work better.
