In for answer on Boost Tolerance, I can't come up with any good reason to use it aside from maybe a Rotrex application.

My experience with boost tolerance is that it was awful. I was running a standard system of boost increase with throttle position, so when I lift the throttle, the boost target drops. The target easily drops faster than the actual boost, which would cause fuel cut. So, when I had it on, drivability suffered.

I think that on a Rotrex, it has even less theoretical value. I say that because the only positive I see for using Tolerance is to limit torque at lower RPM's, which is not an issue with a Rotrex.

Cool. Good to know then. It seemed like a good thing to enable based on the feature description but we know those can be misleading. I'll leave it turned off and happily live without it. Thanks for the clarity.

I was wondering if it would cause something like this, thanks.

My thoughts were more along the lines of preventing it from winding up into areas that aren't tuned. The application would be really specific, something like a Rotrex tuned at altitude and then brought back down to sea level where it will run higher boost.

Try turning off boost tolerance. Its in the boost control settings menu.

How did you get this to open?
This is a .MSQ file and Megalogviewer doesn't can't see it?
My only options are .msl .xls .log .dif .csv and .dat?
thanks!

I mean Megalogviewer doesn't even see the file...I have it on my desktop in folder, and it is like it does not exist.
I have been able to open every other file around here...just not that one....MLV can't even see it?
Could it be because I don't have the full version on my desk top?

Did you convert the file from XXXX.msl.html to XXXX.msl? same with the tune file. The downloads have an extra suffix.

Megalog viewer doesn't open msq files. Msq is a tune file. So use tunerstudio
