MSPnP MSQ

It is possible to get the MSQ that is supplied with the PnP version?

FoundSoul 05-31-2007 08:21 AM

Hold tight-- I'll post the lastest here in a bit...

richard_ha 05-31-2007 10:59 AM

Excellent, many thanks! Am I right in saying that I can load this in to my MS and it will control everything with no problems? At the moment I'm only controlling the fuel. Obviously I will save my VE table.

Braineack 05-31-2007 11:16 AM

do you have a PnP?

richard_ha 05-31-2007 11:37 AM

no.

Alta_Racer 05-31-2007 11:49 AM

Neither do I, but I would like to see this MSQ as well.

I can't promise non-MSPNP MM9093 users anything with these maps. They work GREAT with the MSPNP, but if you're board is setup different (Kag's ignition mods for example) it may not. If you're using a different IAC transistor, and I know you all are right now at least, then my settings will not be just right for your car either and will likely make the valve to funky things (adjust the minimum DC, the frequency is probably OK). Other settings will be off as well. I know someone will post these maps at some point, so it may as well be me so I can let you know of these things to look out for. And I really don't mind the DIYers getting some benefit out of the work we've done on this map as well. I won't claim it to be perfect.. but I would call it pretty great. There's a thing or two I would do different next time around, and I'll have that chance soon. Those little things won't effect driveability or performance though, just me nit-picking.

MSPNP MM9093 owners-- these are the latest greatest base maps as of today. The idle control is improved, EBC base settings are setup, and I touched up a couple of other things as well... enjoy ;).

EDIT: These maps are base maps, tuned for a near stock N/A car (up to 100kpa), but scaled for boost. Everything above 100kpa is untuned, but as I expect many people to want to boost these cars I went ahead and scaled the maps for boost so you wouldn't have to rescale them and retune the entire n/a area when you do that. You must tune for boost when starting with these maps. And as they are a base map you should really fine tune everything for your particular setup as they're all just a bit different anyways...

EDIT: Updated Overrun settings as the no_afm map had a wacky setting get in there (053107_2 maps)

Thanks Jerry.

I am installing this weekend I hope. So the more weapons in my arsenal the better.

You are from Red Deer right? Are you going FI with the MS?

Splitime 05-31-2007 03:42 PM

And with Jerry's posting of the MSQs... another reason I'm happy to have bought my DIY MS from them.

I love when we all help each other... it just plain rocks.

Alta_Racer 05-31-2007 03:44 PM

Jay

I have concidered it, but for now NA will be my route. I have a head apart for bigger valves porting springs cams and a major shave. Realy thinking about IRTB's.

^^ +1

Jerry really didn't have to do that, but I for one am glad he has.

I'm gonna want another MSI kit in the next few weeks and a MSII kit in a month or so's time, guess who'll get that repeat business :)

Thanks again Jerry!

Is this for turbo or NA?

Looking at the spark map, Im gonna guess turbo.

Can we get the N/A map?

I've been running Jerry's fuel and spark maps for about a month now without any mods to them at all. Yes they will work for a turbo (I would do some tuning before going too hard) but they work just fine N/A as well.

This is the main reason why I laugh at people cracking a fat over the 16 x 16 tables that will be available in MSEII. They just aren't needed!!! I'm effectively running a 7 x 12 map for both fuel and spark and my car drives brilliantly.

everything 100kpa and below is your NA map.:gay:

Braineack 05-31-2007 05:45 PM

the deviation between the spark angle and kPa is minimal at best...so you add a few more non-boosted rows and you dont gain anything...the fuel i suspect is similar.

tis true, but I'd quite like 16x16 tables just for the smidgen of extra resolution it gives, I know it's not the be-all and end-all but it's definately a nice to have IMO.

It'll be nice to be able to dedicate more bins to non boost areas and stuff

magnamx-5 05-31-2007 07:32 PM

guys think of it this way the more resolution the bigger injectors we can run and the more hp we can make :D think 800+cc injectors and 400+hp guys.

iWeasel410 05-31-2007 07:35 PM

What about using the MSnSe Hi-Res code?

Just making sure, I know my current map looks way different up top but similar below 100kpa.

His is the first .msq that even comes close to the req fuel that I have been running for 8 months.

Im gonna give it a run this weekend.
