Default mspnp95 base timing set, idle still bad, change fuel table?

So we just now got the base timing set in megatune and we're still experiencing an idle that jumps around and is in the 11 afr range. I think we set the req_fuel correct, the number shows 6.5 I think. Under the calculator we input 1850cc as the engine size (bored .30 over) and 550 as the injector size as we're running rx7 550's. For the desired afr we input 12.7. Does this all sound correct?

Since it's so rich and seems to be somewhat misfiring, do I just need to tune the fuel table to get it closer to 14.7? Or what is my next step? Also, the fuel in the car is questionable (old) can that be making this big difference?)

Sorry if this is searchable, I tried my best. Help the N00bFam out please?

Something odd I just noticed while reading a how-to manual. The manual http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/mtune.htm#constants here says that all v2 units are 250kpa map sensors. Our value was set to 400kpa for some reason?

I'd say just take some fuel out till your close to the 13-14s and see how much better it feels. If you still have problems with it then at least thats one variable you don't have to worry about.

I adjust this via the VE table 1 correct? The megasquirt running off the narrowband sensor is reading 14.7-15.3 at idle but the wideband that we have is reading 10.5 to 11. I'm leaning toward trusting the wideband but how are they reading THAT different?

Yea the VE table is where its at. I would trust your wideband. Just lean it out around your idle and see how it feels.

Any chance someone with a turbo miata running 550cc injectors could post the VE table that they're running. We have the Begi Shanghai kit with the 2554 turbo. Not super sure where our values are supposed to be in the table, but the base map numbers seem to put us in a super rich situation.

I just generated a VE table based on table generator on the MS. Going to see what that puts me at.

I'm no expert on the matter but you can change it in real time while your engine is running so its not difficult.

Just did that. The original values in the area it was idling were something like 60ish. I changed it all the way as high as 90 and as low as 50 and it showed 10.5 the entire time. Nothing changed at all.

something to note, we are running mspnp9495withMAF if that helps anyone.

Is the MAF overwriting what I'm doing with the table? Hence why the afr doesn't change?

Should I be adjusting my target afr table instead?
