MSPro PnP VVT Swap - Newb Questions
1993 federal emissions, manual transmission
9092 MS3Pro PnP
I am in the process of refurbishing my shell, while my harness is out I am modifying the harness to accommodate sequential injection and future VVT swap. I plan on getting the original 1.6L running on the MS, learn to tune and then swap out for the VVT 1.8L. Comparing the MegaSquirt PNP Pro Documentation to the FSM there seems to be a discrepancy:
FSM connector diagram:
Pins 2U and 2V are for injectors 1/3 and 2/4, pins 2Y and 2Z are unused (manual transmission)
MS3 documentation:
I am assuming that the ECU connector (snip above) shown on the MS documentation (4U and 4V) is labeled differently than the FSM (2U and 2V), am I correct or an ***?
Question is can I add conductors to my ECU connector at 2Y and 2Z and have the MS control sequential injection or do I have to use the MS rear option connector? I know I have to rewire the injector sub harness for sequential injection.
Thanks

After thinking about this all weekend I realized the MS can control sequential injection on those pins because it can control cali market cars with sequential that are wired to those terminals. duh
Does anyone know the amp rating (or minimum conductor size needed) for the VVT oil control valve?

VVT oil control valve conductor size
I have been digging around and found the OCV has a resistance range of 6.9 to 7.9 ohms, assuming a max voltage of 13.8 volts gives a max amps of 1.75 amps per ohms law (amps=volts/ohms). The total OCV wire length is less than 20 feet.
Based on these values the minimum conductor size is 18 gauge. Does this look correct or am I missing something?
Thank you
