this is going to sound weird check the wiring to the ignition coils. Ive had two different cars that developed a short in there. when it got hot the motor would try to catch and just cut right off. both would run fine when cold.

Thanks I'll look at that. When hot they car does catch for a second then stops. So thats why I'm thinking fuel?

I just ordered a fuel pressure gauge so I can check that out.

Off to france for a couple of weeks so it may be a while till I can report back.

Ok, I altered my required fuel after the car cut out and it started? Had to pop it up to about 20 to get it going. Then over a period of time it starts to bog as its too rich so I start to alter the req fuel back down. This is just weird. Would increasing req fuel account for poor fuel pressure? I'm seriously getting confused with all this. I've done a few logs now its running even when warm but I can't have my laptop with me all the time when I drive to keep altering the req fuel. Grrr!

Ok so I've put on a new fuel pump and its still the same. I'm thinking of altering the WUE as I think it could be this. I presume I'll have to alter req fuel or the VE table to get it running again.

Ok its been a while and still no change. I've tried everything I can think of!

The car will start when hot or cold now but for some reason after running a while and warming up it goes really lean and then cuts out. I have no ideas at all. Anyone please help. I can post logs and my MSQ is needed.

If I can't get this sorted I might end up breaking the car for parts, something I really don't want to do.

Post a log of the typical stalling event and the relevant MSQ.

what were you doing at the time of that screenshot? Were you giving it gas? right when everythin goes nuts and the car dies, were you jabbing the gas pedal?

Looks like the MS sees throttle position movement, which is confirmed by increase in MAP, then a sharp dropoff..

maybe it just couldn't recover the idle so it stalled..

I think i saw that it was starting to lean out and it was going to quit on me so I tried to give it a bit of gas. Nothing helped. I'll run it again tonight and just leave it idleing until it cuts out then it may be a bit clearer. Thanks for having a look.

OK we'll check it out. You want to have as few variables as possible so we can see more clearly.
