my megasquirt arrived today
not much point to this thread other than to say i am now officially a member of the miata/mx5 megasquirt community :D
fun times ahead!! i'm sure i'll be bugging you guys with questions soon, but just thought i'd start this thread to welcome myself to the club :bigtu: |
Are you assembling it or did you buy it preassembled. If you are assembling it then the BEST advice I can give you is to scrub the shit out of it with acetone with a toothbrush when you are done. This solve like 80% of my initial problems. Apparently the solder flux can short out components. If bought it preassembled then you're basically 90% of the way to having your car running on it. It's actually much more simple than I thought it would be. Welcome to the club.

thanks!
i bought the kit almost finished from another mx5 guy. it is tested and working so far, and there is only a bit of soldering to do to finish it off. hopefully i'll have it finished and installed in the next few weeks. |
What did you think of his soldering work? ;)
Hope you enjoy it mate! |
Welcome to the sickness
