Default Na8 R8 coils - No Tach

I recently installed Flowforce R8 coils on my 1994 NA8 and now the tach is not functioning. Is it necessary to tap the tach output from the MSPNP2?

In the Flowforce install guide, there's instructions regarding sourcing the signal for the NA6, however. theres no mention of having to go through this process for the NA8.

I was under the impression that tapping the tach out on the PNP was not necessary for the NA8.

Can someone clarify or direct me in the proper direction? I've searched and found instructions for tapping the tachout from the PNP, but nothing specific to R8 coils on the NA8.

Thanks

You might need to insert a 1k pullup resistor on (IIRC) IG- and B+ at the diag box.

The source for the tach signal on the '94 is still the coils, not the ECU. On the 90-93, it's the igniter module. You will have to run a signal from the ECU to the cluster.
