Default Looking for tuner/shop in NJ

I'm looking for a shop that can get my car running properly. I have a 95 with built motor, 3071, 800cc inj, fmic, etc. running a ms1. I have gotten it to start and run but never ran good. Got timing set and coolant bled etc. just need to get this ****** running and don't have the time, I have base tunes that will be real close. Can anyone recommend a shop or even individual fluent with mega squirt in the central New Jersey area or pa/ny?thanks in advance

I cant think of anyone off the top of my head. I would avoid Vinnie Tan Racing though, dude just took the flyin miata basemap on a hydra and added some timing above 4k rpms on one of the miata's I worked on. I just started laughing hysterically over the phone to the owner of the car when I compared the files. Glad that owner was not the one that "paid a **** load of money" for the tune.

The real moral of that story is to learn to tune it yourself so you dont pay a shitload of money for a whole bunch of fuckall.

I hear ya. I'm mostly talkin about getting it to the point of driving and tuning. All I got it to do was idle for a while.

plug in the stock ecu, drive it to york, then install the MS and have him tune it.

Edit: I would drive six hours to get a perfect tune on my car if no one was closer.

Where in NJ are you? I'm between Allentown and Reading PA.
Kind of.
Search for Cabelas, Hamburg. I'm north of that a bit, but I've net people near Allentown for tuning sessions.

F dyno tuning. Dyno tuning is a **** size fest. Street tuning is for the real world. How many times do you put your car in 3rd on the street at 2500 RPM, then hold it flat to the floor until redline and that's it?
Megasquirt was designed for YOU to tune...I will simply tune it for you, and give you an education at the same time.
My payment?
I've been drinking a lot of Six Point Brewing lately...
Maybe a case of Resin or Hi-Res?

I'm not worried about the tuning part. I been building this car for 6 months and have been looking forward to the whole tuning and set up part. Unfortunately it's taken a lot longer and is much more involved than I anticipated. I'm starting to hate it cause it's not going well and I know how critical it is to have a fresh motor run well for break in. Time to bow out and let someone do it or even better walk me through. I'd appreciate any help/time you throw my way, if beer is acceptable payment prepare to drink lots of beer. Otherwise let me know, money, booze, broads. Whatever. Just want my car off the jack stands and running good!

What I need from you is, you need to be able to connect your laptop to your megasquirt and you need to be able to see the dashboard of tuner studio (or megatune) with all the gauges.
You also need a wideband that works and displays on your dashboard as well, and correctly. None of this mismatched gauge and tuner studio dashboard stuff...everything must work correctly.
If you can do that, I'm game. It just makes my job a whole lot easier. I don't feel like driving far so I can spend hours setting stuff up.
I plan on spending no more than 1 hour from start to finish...my time is extremely valuable.

I have all that done. I guess you can say I'm having stupid set up issues. I had the car running, up to temp, set timing and fixed stupid small leaks and such. I only got it to idle, anything beyond that it would sputter and die. I have tuner studio working, LC-2 reads numbers and they reacted to fuel changes so..... I'm sure we can talk in the phone and get things squared up before you ride out here

Lol. I want to see you optimize a fuel and spark map without a dyno, you can get it running real nice on the street but you're easily leaving 10% on the table that you wont find on the butt dyno but will certainly show on the lap timer.

THat's true but when I call everywhere around 2 hours I got the Mega what ?!? over the phone or incompetent tuner that doesn't know what is loading a dyno...

I wouldn't mind towing the car to NY or Toronto for a a good damn tune, those are 4 and 6 hours from my place. AEM is so big around here, maybe I will/should migrate because I left too much on the table. It's easy to see when you compare video side by side with Cali guys...

And we're not talking about the 130$+ per hour we see here... saw 30$ and hour on another thread, wow I would be there before every race !

To avoid the Mega what?!? you just go. "Herrow, I would like rent dyno machine fo hour rate. You strap down car, then you leave, I run erryting."
