Power cycle needes when switching to sequential ignition

Installed my COPs this weekend and rewired for sequential. When I burned my new tune to the MS3 (Latest beta firmware) I didn't get a warning saying that Power cycle was needed. Went to start the car and barely ran on 2 cylinders. Used coil test mode and found out onlycoils 1 and 3 worked. Which were connected to Spark Out A and B. Power cycled the Megasquirt and it worked just fine. Posting this up in case this wasn't common knowledge.

It should of given you a warning saying a power cycle was required. If you had the ignition window open, you might not of seen it, as it's only visible when you're viewing the gauges.

I checked the gauge screen. It could be a beta issue. I'll check again later but it threw me off for a couple minutes.

Btw curly you're right this is a potent 1.6. Definitely feels stronger than the 180k SNC I had before.

I've had some other things not take until I power cycled, but there was no warning. Specifically, changed close idle valve time to zero, and it still closed the valve, but immediately, and opened it immediately as well. There was no warning, or as you say, none visible. When I power cycled, it correctly remained open.

Might just be firmware issues, when somethings aren't triggering a warning.

Either way, here's what it sounds like running on cylinder 1 and 3
